HIV/AIDS Commission
From its first meeting in December of 1995, the HIV/AIDS Commission has striven to support those affected by HIV/AIDS through education and outreach. Members on the Commission represent various ministries throughout the Diocese.

The Commission:
sponsors an annual liturgy honoring those with HIV/AIDS and their families,
assists family and friends of those lost to AIDS with the creation of a panel for the AIDS quilt,
coordinates the availability of panels from the AIDS quilt for parish display,
exhibits an information booth at the annual AIDS Walk and other related activities, and
provides referrals to individuals seeking assistance or groups seeking volunteer opportunities.
