Office of the Bishop

Bishop Brom has announced the following: 

Rev. Peter Escalante has been appointed pastor of St. Joseph Cathedral Parish, San Diego, effective June 29, 2007 and will remain the canonical pastor of Santa Sophia Parish until August 14, 2007.

Rev. Peter McGuine has been appointed pastor of Santa Sophia Parish, Spring Valley, effective August 14, 2007.

Rev. Jose Alfredo Moreno has been appointed associate pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Calexico, effective June 29, 2007.

Rev. Edward Horning has been appointed pastor of St. Mary’s Parish, El Centro, including Holy Spirit Mission, Seely, effective June 29, 2007.

Rev. Ruben Valenzuela has been appointed pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, El Centro, including Sacred Heart Mission, Heber, effective June 29, 2007.

Deacon Emilio Magaña, who will be ordained a priest of the Diocese of San Diego on June 1, 2007, has been appointed associate pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, El Centro, including Sacred Heart Mission, Heber, effective June 29, 2007.
