YOUTH MINISTER

St. Pius X Church in Chula Vista has an opening for a full time Youth Minister.  This position is responsible for developing a parish based pastoral ministry with youth grades 7-12 as well as providing formal catechesis for grades 9-10 in confirmation. This includes organizing service to others and youth liturgies, as well as social events throughout the year but especially during the summer. Close collaboration with families of youth, with volunteers and with youth ministers in other parishes is expected. Remuneration & benefits are commensurate with degrees/experience. A Diocesan Basic Catechist Certificate and Diocesan Youth Ministry Certificate (or 4 years CYM experience) is required. Bachelor degree recommended.
